Like so many others...
I have been waging a war against myself for years. Binge eating, obsessing over my workouts, dieting every other week, and constantly feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally ill. I would always tell myself that ‘next Monday’ I would make a change, but Monday would never come for me.
It wasn't until I found out I was pregnant that I realized I needed to make some major changes to my lifestyle and well-being. I started by cleaning up my diet. This meant incorporating real, whole foods into my diet, which naturally crowded out the poorer processed foods. I also, for the first time in my life, started using exercise as a tool for stress relief and mental clarity, rather than to just look good in a bikini.
Eventually I started noticing myself changing, not just physically, but also mentally. I was becoming more in-tune with my body, and more invested in my health, wellness, and self-care practices. When I took a step back and realized how much I enjoyed this new journey of wellness, I started looking into different career paths and came across the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
It's now my goal to help women discover what's holding them back from their own food freedom, as well as teaching them how to heal themselves with real food, exercise, and self-care.
